We’re Not Broken

Pain is the chain,
That links us all.
Like lightning strikes our hearts,
Scared to trust again,
In case we fall.
Frightened by our damaged parts.
Scattered into a million pieces,
We can glue them back together with gold.
The scars we wear now,
Remind the others,
We’re not that easy to fool.
