Toxic
The energy changes,
As I stain the room,
With our mood,
The pain eats up my happiness,
Like left over food.
They can smell the fear I’m covered in,
Suffocating as it snakes up my body,
Leaving no room left for oxygen.
Fangs full of poison,
Getting ready to bite.
There’s no antidote in sight.
Toxic blood floods my veins,
Like chaos spreads through a train,
The house is burning,
But we’re both to blame.
The fire was too much for our love to survive.
Romance wasn’t sleeping, it had already died.
In our war there’s no use picking sides,
We’re a broken theme park,
With dangerous rides.
We can’t break up,
God knows we’ve tried.
We pray for rain,
Millions of kisses to put out these flames.
But I’m the fire,
You’re the fuel,
I’m the joker,
You’re the fool.
Love isn’t just a game,
It’s one of your many tools.
There’s no cure for us.
So, I watch it burn.
I broke your heart.
Now it’s your turn.
