We all know the story
Of the child with the blue face.
Who takes their mobile everywhere,
Every, single, place!
The parents warned it was time take a break.
“Give your eyes a rest my dear for goodness sake.”
I’m not glued to my screen!
“Have you finished your homework?”
“Is that bedroom of yours clean?”
Every family occasion stuck on their phone.
Every holiday event in the calendar.
Wasted away scrolling alone.
Big sister tried to break their mobile.
To see if the rumours were true.
Years later she discovered she was right.
When she saw their face had turned bright blue.
